Ann and I did not always have it
so nice as you kids see us having it now.
In college, we were so poor that we lived
in only a single basement apartment, rather than
in several large homes,
and I even had to sell my stocks so that we could
pay our bills.
We were so poor that we were forced
to eat regular tuna, from a can,
and also pasta that was not the right height of pasta.
